T2C - CNC Technician Internal
Summary of Position
The CNC Technician is responsible for lifting and handling large sheets of wood, metal, and other materials and will also operate a complex and advanced CNC Router machining to cut materials for use in production at Bay Photo Lab.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform start up and shut down machine procedures
- Understand and manage programs necessary for operation.
- Learn the mechanics of the machines and deal with mechanical issues if necessary
- Respond efficiently and effectively to changes in workflow, work volume, and needs of production
- Follow all safety procedures including wearing personal protective equipment
Other Duties
- Responding to changes in workflow, work volume, and production as needed, including working in other departments
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area that is ready for the next shift
Requirements
Skills
- Good sense of urgency and works well under pressure
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs +
- Must be able to multitask
- Good handling skills
- High attention to detail & quick learner
Experience
- Ability to recognize and report mechanical malfunctions
- Mechanically & technically inclined
Education
Availability
- Flexible in scheduling changes
- Must be reliable
- $14.00 per hour
